Canada's Kerri Einarson has reached the semifinals of the women's world curling championship with a 6-5 win over Japan.
Einarson's Manitoba team capped the pool play with a 10-2 record behind Switzerland at 11-1 atop the standings.
The two countries earned direct entry to Saturday evening's semifinals.
Japan will play Turkey and South Korea faces Sweden earlier Saturday with the winners joining Canada and Switzerland in the semifinals.
The medal games are Sunday.
Einarson and teammates Val Sweeting, Shannon Birchard and Karlee Burgess out of the Gimli Curling Club seek their first world title.
